13th April 2018 – Carbon Africa ran a side event at the African Carbon Forum in Nairobi. The session entitled “Enhancing climate action in Africa – defining the needs and priorities for the region in the transition from the Kyoto Protocol to the Paris Agreement”, was organised by the GIZ Global Carbon Markets Programme Uganda and UNFCCC Regional Centre in Kampala. The event specifically explored the potential role of the national authorities of the Clean Development Mechanism under the new provisions of Article 6.
