The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Frankfurt School of Finance and Management conducted two webinar sessions on 15th and 16th September 2020 to launch a call for proposal for solar captive power pilot projects in Kenya, and present the country report and tools developed for the solar commercial and industrial (C&I) sector in Kenya. The webinar is part of the “Clean Captive Installations for Industrial Clients in Sub-Sahara Africa” (CICSA) project that is being implemented in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
Carbon Africa supported the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management
to develop the Kenya C&I captive power country report and prepare for the call for proposals based on research, analysis and stakeholder engagement, including a mission and site visit that took place in September 2019.
The webinar presentation, call for proposals, Kenya country report and captive PV project assessment tools can be found on the project website at https://www.captiverenewables-africa.org/publications/
