14 February 2013 – Carbon Africa continues to deliver high quality carbon credits and carbon finance services across Africa. In February 2013, the 50MW Corner Baridi Wind Farm Kenya and Nuru Lighting Project in Rwanda both achieved CDM registration with Carbon Africa’s support. In addition, Carbon Africa successfully included two 10MWe solar PV CPAs in South Africa in the registered South Africa Renewable Energy Programme of Activities(PoA). Carbon Africa also assisted  the  ministry of Energy of The  Gambia and S2 services SARL of Cameroon to secure a CDM loan for a CFL replacement in the former country, which adds to the four CDM loan scheme agreements in which the company is already involved. We are furthermore pleased to announce planning steps towards the development of a Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) in the municipal waste sector in Mozambique with the support of the Government of Belgium.
