On 14-15 July 2015, Carbon Africa participated as presenter and moderator in the first East African Carbon Fair held in Kampala, Uganda. The event was organized by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fϋr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in partnership with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Regional Collaboration Centre (UNFCCC RCC) in Kampala and hosted by the East African Development Bank (EADB). The event brought together project developers, international buyers of emission reduction certificates, financial institutions, consultants and companies interested in carbon neutral and low carbon project corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunities.

Carbon Africa also represented a number of its project developer clients that are actively seeking to commercialize carbon credits. The event comes in the wake of ongoing deliberations to revive the carbon markets during the 21st UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP 21) negotiations in Paris later this year
