Max Armbrust helped to establish Carbon Africa’s subsidiary in southern Africa and continues to be involved as a Non-Executive Director for our ventures in Mozambique. Following early experience in the Carbon Markets in East Arica, Max worked for Juwi, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy project developers. Here, he focused on the realization of biogas and biomass CHP energy projects in Germany and beyond. Max then went on to establish Carbon Africa’s Mozambican office and develop a waste utilisation project. He was subsequently a manager at the African Food Company in Mozambique. Max holds a Bachelor of Economics (University of Stellenbosch) and an MSc in Environmental Monitoring, Modelling and Management (King’s College London).

Currently, Max works full time for REA Vipingo Plantations in Kenya where he is responsible for the development of power generation projects.
