Carbon Africa believes that it is possible to reduce the environmental footprint of business and develop profitable companies based on socially responsible principles. We regard a sustainable private sector as an important vehicle for realizing the new green economy.
Carbon Africa strives to achieve the highest level of corporate social and environmental responsibility in its own operations. The company's target is to exceed global best practice standards wherever possible, from employee working conditions and benefits to minimization of the environmental impact of doing business.
Carbon Africa aims to reduce its ecological footprint in areas from energy consumption to waste management to transport. We use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-approved paper for office printing (which is kept to a minimum) and our business cards are made from recycled scrap paper. Office furniture is sourced from a local manufacturer who uses wood processing waste residue. We compost and recycle at work. When moving about, the Carbon Africa team uses public and non-motorized transport whenever possible. Company personnel also work remotely from home on a regular basis, further reducing transport emissions. We are always on the look-out for ways to improve our existing practices.
Carbon Africa also encourages its clients and partners to establish green and socially responsible practices, through advice and leading by example.
