From 23-25th October, the GIZ Carbon Markets Programme in Uganda and East Africa, together with the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre Kampala hosted a pre-COP25 workshop in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Carbon Africa was one of the workshop’s core delivery team that aimed to build East African negotiators’ skills and understanding of Article 6 under the Paris Agreement, with a focus on needs and priorities of African countries. The event also importantly explored the readiness of the region, including Least Developed Countries (LDCs), to participate in international cooperation under Article 6.
