CARBON AFRICA AT VARIOUS FORA

31 March, 2017 – Carbon Africa participated in a number of fora in Kenya in the month of March 2017.

The first of these was a well-attended workshop on financing solar-hybrid village mini-grids organized by GIZ and AFD from 1 – 2 March that focused on needs, challenges and opportunities for funding.

On 10 March the final outputs of a consulting assignment for the Ministry of Energy & Petroleum to conduct pre-feasibility studies for private mini-grids at 30 sites in Kenya were presented to public sector stakeholders. Economic Consulting Associates, Trama TecnoAmbiental and Carbon Africa delivered the work.

Rounding out the events was the Kenya Renewable and Energy Efficiency Exhibition and Conference held from 29 – 31 March, hosted by the Kenya Association of Manufacturers. Highlights included renewable energy development programmes, energy efficiency opportunities and project finance.
